1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember things about your visit - language, login state, what you've already seen - and can also be used for analytics and advertising.

2. How we use them

We use Google Consent Mode v2. That means analytics and advertising cookies are set to "denied" by default. They only become "granted" if you opt in via our consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always on - the site can't function without them.

3. The three categories you'll see in our banner

  • Strictly necessary - always on. Required for the site to work (e.g. remembering your consent choice).
  • Analytics - off by default. Helps us understand which pages work and which don't (Google Analytics 4).
  • Advertising - off by default. Used by Google, Meta and others to measure paid campaigns and personalise advertising.

4. Cookies we may set

The cookies below are the ones we use or may use on this site. The exact list depends on the choices you've made in our consent banner.

Cookie / tokenCategoryPurposeDuration
tdl-consent Necessary Stores your consent banner choice locally so we don't ask you again on every visit. 12 months
_ga, _ga_* Analytics Google Analytics 4 - tracks anonymous, aggregated usage of the site. 14 months
_gid Analytics Google Analytics - identifies a single session. 24 hours
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw Advertising Google Ads conversion linker - measures conversions from Google Ads campaigns. 3 months
_fbp Advertising Meta Pixel - measures and personalises ads on Facebook, Instagram, and across Meta. 3 months
LinkedIn Insight Advertising LinkedIn - measures campaign performance for B2B advertising. Up to 24 months

Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the providers above. We don't control how those services use the data they collect.

5. Manage your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Click the button below to re-open the consent banner.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings - most browsers let you block, delete, or be notified before cookies are set. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the site.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
